Ballyloughane beach is a fantastic beach for observing seashore life. The shore becomes largely exposed in low tide offering a great opportunity to stroll the beach and explore.

The beach is an important nursery area for juvenile flat fish such as plaice and flounder, as well as providing a home for brown shrimp, sand hoppers, seaweeds and crabs. It provides great excitement and fun for all ages.
