DOON HILL WWII LOOKOUT TOWER

During World War II, Doon Hill was used as a lookout point and had a gun battery atop the hill with fear that the German’s may use Ireland as a base to attack the British.

There is now just an automated Coast Guard beacon atop of the hill.
