St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival 2023
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will return to the streets of Galway in 2023 to celebrate Ireland’s National Holiday. A series of events offering a feast of family entertainment are expected to take place over the course of the bank holiday weekend, from the 17th to the 20th March 2023.
It’s anticipated that a numerous amusements and family activities will once again be developed for the event which takes place throughout the long weekend alongside the ‘Greening’ initiative on prominent Galway buildings, and much more. The highlight of the festival, will be the return of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade will start at 11.30am and once again begin at Galway Cathedral and wind its way up University Road, onto the Salmon Weir Bridge and turning right onto Eglinton Street it will meander onto Williamsgate Street and past the official viewing stand in Eyre Square before finishing on Prospect Hill and Bóthar na mBan. There will be no better place to be on St. Patrick’s Day!
